                    Pulau Tiga,South China

Pulau Tiga, the famed island situated on the South China Sea, is surrounded by blue waters filled with long stretches colourful coral reef, and is made up of deep verdant rainforests containing acres of undisturbed seashore trees and an incredible number of exotic fruits.

Just like the other islands of the South China Sea, Pulau Tiga is varied and beautiful, with long stretches of fine sandy beaches and breathtaking sights at every turn. But despite the natural beauty, the castaways will have to adapt to the strange new vegetation and island terrain.

The waters surrounding the island are teeming with a variety of marine life, including barracuda, sharks, and colourful tropical fish. Birds are also plentiful and varied in the area - hornbills and sea eagles are likely to be seen all over the island. Rare monkeys and beautiful sea turtles which inhabit the coral reefs are also part of the diverse wildlife on the island. Flying foxes, fruit-eating bats that are common in tropical regions, are primarily nocturnal creatures that can be found nesting in trees on the island. Horror of horrors - thousand of sea snakes come ashore to mate on nearby Snake Island.

Between February and April, Pulau Tiga is relatively dry with calm seas. The tropical locale is often referred to as the 'Land below the Wind' due to its geographic location below the recognised typhoon belt. Annual monsoons, both southwest and northeast, leave the beaches of the Survivor island littered with natural debris.
